Here at Embark, Vietnam is one of our favorite travel destinations: it’s safe, super affordable, and flush with natural beauty. We’ve all heard of Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa, but what about the lesser-known destinations that deserve the same attention? So, we’ve put together a list of the best, most underrated travel destinations in Vietnam. Here we go:


1. Cao Bang: Located in the far north, this region offers stunning landscapes, including the ethereal Ban Gioc Waterfall and the expansive Pac Bo Cave.


2. Mai Chau: A peaceful valley surrounded by mountains, known for its ethnic minority communities and serene rice terraces.


3. Quy Nhon: A coastal city with beautiful beaches, historic sites like the Thap Doi Towers, and a tranquil atmosphere.
