Why I’m Obsessed With My Cheap, $20 Amazon Veken Packing Cubes

Game changer. I ordered a set of packing cubes on a whim for the first trip I took with my partner and baby. I didn’t know how else to keep all his tiny clothes organized in our massive suitcase. It was my best decision of 2022. It helped keep chaos at bay so well that I ordered two more sets (one for my partner and me) and have been using them ever since. We each have our own color, so I immediately know what belongs to whom.

I’m a hardcore packing cube evangelist. My previous method of packing was to smush all my clothes into the suitcase without folding them. Yes.

Anyway, for those who might think packing cubes are a waste of money, here are some reasons that might make you reconsider:

  1. Packing cubes keep categories of clothes separate. You can have one for tops, pants, outerwear, and sleepwear.

  1. Pulling out clothes becomes more efficient. You don’t need to rummage through your entire suitcase to find the one thing you need.

  1. Packing cubes optimize space. Believe it. I can fit my partner’s, my baby’s, and my massive amount of trip clothing in one suitcase.

  2. Better organization makes for a better travel experience. I remember crying internally one time in London when I looked around the hotel room at all the things I had to force back into the suitcase. Now, my packing and repacking is smooth as butter, and I actually enjoy it!

I highly recommend the Veken travel cubes. They’re super affordable and quite durable. They’ve accompanied me on multiple trips, and I’ve yet to see a problem. I am in no way affiliated with Veken–this is 100% my recommendation based on experience.
